Who can access WorkSafe services?
Any worker with an accepted WorkSafe claim can access funded healthcare, rehabilitation and support services. We also support workers under WorkCover and other state and federal compensation schemes.
What does WorkSafe cover?
Medical treatment, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, mental health support, personal care, workplace modifications and return-to-work programs.
How do I make a WorkSafe claim?
Report your injury to your employer, see a doctor for a Certificate of Capacity, and your employer lodges the claim with their insurer. Once approved, WorkSafe covers your treatment costs.
Do I pay anything upfront?
No. With an approved claim, eligible treatment costs are covered, with no out-of-pocket expenses.
How long can I receive support?
It depends on the severity of your injury and WorkSafe’s assessment, short-term for some, long-term for others.
