Round-the-clock care that lets your loved one stay in the home they love, with safety, dignity and a familiar team, day and night.
When a loved one needs care around the clock, moving them into a facility can feel like the only option, but it isn’t. Ambition Health Group provides 24 Hour Care at Home Australia-wide, so your loved one can have continuous, professional support without leaving the home, routines and memories that mean everything to them. Our In-home 24 Hour Care for Seniors delivers the safety of a facility with the comfort, privacy and one-to-one attention only home can offer.
All the support of residential care, none of the upheaval. Familiar surroundings, your own bed, your own routine, and a team who genuinely knows your loved one.
Why Families Choose Home Over a Facility
For many families, the decision isn’t really about care levels. It’s about quality of life. Here’s how 24-hour care at home compares to moving into residential care:
| 24-Hour Care at Home | Residential Facility |
Attention | One-to-one, dedicated to your loved one | Shared across many residents |
Surroundings | Their own home, familiar and loved | An unfamiliar institution |
Daily routine | Their schedule, their way | The facility’s schedule |
The carers | A small, consistent team | Rotating shifts of changing staff |
Partners & pets | Everyone stays together at home | Often separated |
Who’s in control | The family and the individual | Institutional policies |
The same round-the-clock safety, delivered in the one place your loved one most wants to be.

Consistent Care Teams: Not a Parade of Strangers
The biggest worry families have about 24/7 care is simple: a constant stream of unfamiliar faces coming through the front door. We’re built to solve exactly that.
(02)
A small, dedicated team, matched to your loved one
We assign a small, consistent group of carers chosen to suit your loved one’s personality, preferences, and needs. Over time, they become familiar, trusted faces who know how your loved one likes their tea, what settles them at night, and the stories they love to tell.
- Familiarity and trust: the same handful of carers, building a genuine relationship.
- Matched to the person: carers chosen for temperament and rapport, not just availability.
- Continuity overnight: consistent overnight carers, so nights feel safe, not strange.
- Seamless handovers: the team communicates and coordinates so nothing is missed between shifts.

A 24-Hour Care Nursing Agency: Registered Nurse Clinical Oversight
Around-the-clock care often means real health needs, so clinical safety can’t be an afterthought. Drawing on our 20-year nursing heritage, every 24-hour care plan is overseen by a Registered Nurse, who sets the clinical plan, monitors changes and adjusts care as needs evolve. It’s the clinical oversight a basic care arrangement simply can’t provide.
Where needed, our team also delivers Round the Clock Home Nursing, covering wound care, medication administration and health monitoring through the night, all under the same clinical governance. As a registered 24 hour care nursing agency, we also support clients who need 24 hr home care across multiple funding pathways.

24-Hour Care: FAQs
What is 24 Hour Care at Home?
A carer is present around the clock, providing assistance, safety and companionship in your loved one’s own home. Unlike residential care, it lets them stay where they’re most comfortable, with continuous, one-to-one support.
How is 24-hour care at home better than a nursing home?
One-to-one attention, familiar surroundings, their own routine, and a small, consistent care team, versus shared staff and an institutional schedule. Most families find that it offers greater dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Will my loved one have the same carers, or different ones each time?
A small, dedicated team. We match a consistent group of carers to your loved one’s personality and needs, so they’re cared for by familiar, trusted faces, including overnight, not a parade of strangers.
Is the care clinically supervised?
Yes. Every 24-hour plan is overseen by a Registered Nurse, who sets the clinical plan and monitors changes. Round-the-clock nursing (wound care, medication, monitoring) is available under that oversight.
How is 24-hour care funded?
For older Australians, through Support at Home (typically Levels 7–8), often combined with private hours. NDIS participants can access 24/7 Supported Independent Living. TAC, WorkSafe, DVA and fully private options are also available.
What's the difference between daytime and overnight care?
Daytime care covers personal care, meals and daily activities; overnight care provides continuous monitoring and immediate help for sleep disturbance, dementia or mobility risk, so every hour of the day and night is covered.
