Professional Domestic Assistance: Helping You Stay Independent at Home
Premium home support for older Australians, NDIS participants and private clients, Australia-wide.
Ambition Health Group’s Domestic Services Division delivers aged care domestic assistance to older Australians and disability domestic assistance for NDIS participants, as well as support for injury-scheme and private clients alike. Every domestic assistant aged care and disability programs deploy is trained, screened and held to the highest professional standard, helping you manage everyday household tasks with ease, dignity and confidence.
From cleaning and laundry to meal preparation and home organisation, every service is built around your routine and your standards, so you can focus on living well, not on the housework.
What is Domestic Assistance?
For many older Australians, it's not a health crisis that forces a move out of home. It's the slow accumulation of household tasks that become harder to manage alone. The right domestic help changes that. A little regular support with cleaning, laundry and meals is often the single thing that lets someone remain living independently in their own home, for years longer.
Funded through Support at Home and aged care. If you’re an older Australian, domestic assistance is one of the most common supports funded under the Support at Home program. We help you understand your funding and put reliable, respectful home support in place, so independence at home stays the easy choice.
For families, it’s peace of mind: knowing a trusted professional is keeping Mum or Dad’s home safe, clean and comfortable, without the whole load falling on you.

What's included in domestic assistance?
A wide range of household tasks: cleaning (vacuuming, dusting, mopping, bathrooms), laundry and ironing, meal preparation and planning, grocery shopping and errands, home organisation and decluttering, and other daily tasks. Every service is tailored to your needs, whether you’re an older Australian, an NDIS participant or a private client.
Is domestic assistance funded by aged care or the NDIS?
Both. For domestic assistance NDIS participants access, it’s funded under Core Supports (Assistance with Daily Life) where it supports your independence. For older Australians, it’s funded through the Support at Home program and CHSP. It’s also funded under TAC, WorkSafe and DVA, or available privately. We’ll help you understand your options.
How does domestic help keep me independent at home?
For many people, household tasks are the first thing that becomes hard to manage, and the main reason independence at home feels at risk. Regular support with cleaning, laundry and meals removes that pressure, so you can keep living safely and comfortably in your own home for longer.
Are your domestic specialists trained and qualified?
Yes. All our Professional Domestic Specialists are background-checked, reference-verified and trained in infection control and home organisation, not just basic cleaning. Many also hold qualifications in aged care, disability support or first aid.
Can I schedule support on a regular basis?
Yes, weekly, fortnightly or one-off. For aged care clients and NDIS participants needing ongoing support, we set up a consistent schedule for continuity and reliability.
Will the same person visit each time?
We always aim to assign the same specialist to build familiarity and trust. If your regular specialist is unavailable, we arrange a qualified replacement who meets the same standards and follows your preferences.
How do I get started?
Reach out by phone, email or online. We’ll arrange a consultation to understand your needs and preferences, help you access your funding if applicable, and arrange your first visit. Call 1300 668 655.
